Do you need inspiration for your course email campaigns this June? Look no further! To help you out, I’ve put together a list of 9 topic for your emails in the month of June 2023. Whether it’s tapping into national holidays, general interest topics, or summer themes, you’ll find something in here.

9 Topics for Your Emails in June 2023

National Donut Day (June 3rd)

Here are some ideas for your emails:

  • Run a Flash Sale to celebrate this sweet holiday by offering a discount on your course or sharing a fun recipe that ties into your course topic.

  • If your course is health-related then you can talk about how much calories there is in a donut, compare different recipes or commercial donuts, or recommend a way to burn the calories.

  • If your course is language related, you can talk about common idioms or cultural situations where donuts play an important role.

  • If your course is about business, you can present the history of the most successful or most expensive donut.

  • If your course teaches email marketing or social media to entrepreneurs, you can find the most intriguing social post from a donut chain.

World Environment Day (June 5th)

Share tips and tricks for sustainability that relate to your course topic, or highlight ways your course can help students contribute to a more eco-friendly world.

Here are some examples:

  • How online learning can offset the carbon print

  • Common ways one would pollute without knowing it and what to do instead (positioning online learning as an option to reduce pollution)

  • Informing about choices we can make as individuals to reduce pollution (similar to number 2)

  • If you teach business or marketing you can talk about a business’ responsibility for saving the environment

World Oceans Day (June 8th)

This is similar to the Environment ideas.

  • If your course is language related, you can introduce your audience to the culture and introduce them to stories, myths or even traditions related to oceans.

  • If your course is about business, you can talk about upcoming legislation that could impact supply chains. For instance this or this.

Graduation season

  • If your course is meant for parents, then you can talk about what’s coming next in terms of having their kids leaving the nest

  • If your course is meant to help students move into upper education, you can give them a roadmap for what they should be preparing for

  • Tap into the excitement of graduation season by sending a congratulatory email to your audience or offering a discount on your course as a gift to recent graduates.

  • If your course is about learning a new language, educate your subscribers about how Father’s Day is celebrated in the language you teach, what are some common greetings (or even jokes or stereotypes)

  • If you’re interested in a solution-aware email, then you can share stories or testimonials from fathers who have taken your course and seen success

  • Or offer a special promotion to celebrate the dads in your audience.

Summer Solstice (June 20th)

  • Celebrate the official start of summer by offering a summer-themed course or sharing tips on how to make the most of the season.

  • Personal development courses can use Summer Solstice to make their emails relevant to the context, share exercises or reflection-themes for the day

  • Astrology courses can tap into Summer Solstice as a way to inform about the astrological context and can make a prediction for the months to come

  • Travel is a big theme around this time of the year so language, budgeting, or nomadic lifestyle courses can tap into this

  • Astronomy courses can give information about what’s happening in the sky, what elements can be visible and when

World Music Day (June 21st)

This is a fun one.

  • Share a playlist of music related to your course topic or highlight how your course can help students improve their musical skills.

  • Use songs to introduce themes or outcomes for your course

  • If you teach music, use it to run a flash sale or launch a new product

  • If you teach language, use songs to help your audience learn new words

International Yoga Day (June 21st)

  • If your course is focused on health or weight loss, you can share the benefits of yoga as a way to move and burn calories or help with mobility

  • You can also talk about the benefits of yoga as a way to develop focus and mindfulness when learning new things

  • If your course is about personal development, anxiety, stress management, you can use this opportunity to introduce yoga

  • And obviously if you are a yoga-teacher, this is a great way to run a promotion. Be aware though, that you might have competition.

June 2023 offers a variety of opportunities to engage with your audience through email marketing. Whether it’s celebrating national holidays, tapping into general interest topics, or highlighting summer themes, there are plenty of ways to keep your emails fresh, engaging, and effective.
