Monica Badiu, Email Copywriter & Copy Coach

I strongly believe we learn by sharing stories, lessons, and experiences, therefore I decided to launch the Go Live with Me interview series featuring entrepreneurs, and passionate people from all over the world.

I have been connecting with entrepreneurs for years, and I love how powerful each interaction can be. It is inspiring to hang out with someone who is deeply passionate about what he or she is doing. It’s a type of interaction that boosts motivation, creates space for learning, bonding, growth, and problem-solving.

The purpose of these interviews is to inspire, and motivate entrepreneurs from all over the world to embrace their journey even more, to learn from fellow human beings who are actively creating their dream lives every single day. And to those of you who are still in doubt, I hope these stories will give you courage to take action.

In this Women Rising interview, Mackenzie Jimenez, a go-getter 21-yr old woman, shares her entrepreneurial story about developing the courage to be herself in business and not care what others think. #womeninbusiness #entrepreneurship #quotes #motiv…

Tell me a little bit about yourself. Who are you? What do you do when you’re not working?

My name is Mackenzie & I’m a 21 year old entrepreneur/caregiver! I live with my cat, Ella & my boyfriend of 5 years! I found my joy of taking care of people when I was 18 & I’ve been doing it ever since! I’m currently a part-time med tech in a nursing home right now! When I’m not at work or working on my business, I’m lounging in a good pair of sweats watching Netflix!

What is your business?

I’m in an online social retailing business that is a clean living company! I’ve been working this business for 14 months now & so wish I would’ve started sooner!! I also have a blog so I can help other young entrepreneurs work their business the right way! My website is www.mackenziejimenez.com.

Why did you start this business? And how was it in the beginning (mindset, motivation, clarity, new roles)?

I started this business so I wouldn’t have to worry about money honestly! I was moving to a whole new town, not knowing anyone. And with no job lined up! In the beginning I was so terrified of being myself, but now I have so much mental clarity & where I see myself in my future that I know I have to go out of my comfort zone to get that! Starting a business at 20 is not easy, especially when you spent the year before that spamming the heck out of your friends so they basically start to block you.

What made the difference to help you grow your business?

I really dug deep and realized that if I ever want this thing to grow I need to not care what other people think. I have to do it for myself, my future family, and of course my own sanity! Getting to help people every single day is my little escape & makes my heart so freaking happy!

How do you handle being visible for your business?

I absolutely love doing live videos!! It brings me so close to my audience & I feel like they get to know me so well too!! I also show up like I would anywhere else! (No makeup, hair up in a bun, t-shirt). I want my followers to know if I can show up looking the way I do and still be successful, they can too!

What are you most proud of yourself as a business owner?

I am so proud that I get to help other people as well every single day! And not only am I winning, but so is my team! I love them to pieces & would be nowhere without them!

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a female entrepreneur who might be struggling?

Do it afraid! I was in a network marketing company a year prior to the business I am in now & absolutely hated it. I hated that I had to show up with makeup on & my hair done for people actually to buy the makeup I was selling. I didn’t feel like myself at all. Don’t quit looking until you find your passion! Once you do that, that fire won’t fade,

Ready to embrace growth?

Hello go-getter! Growth is what we all strive for in business, but sometimes it is easier said than done. Growth implies going outside your comfort zone, dealing with the unknown and discovering how we self sabotage. I’ve seen it happen in all industries, both with new and established entrepreneurs. The good news is that it can be easy to embrace growth and find the strategy that works best for you. I am a visibility coach who helps established entrepreneurs grow their businesses with powerful visibility strategies and personal growth.
